This salaried role oversees diet planning with dietician input, staff training, safety, compliance with regulations, and in-house event dining. Strong leadership and cost control knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a supervisory role in a hospital or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Knowledge of dining service practices, laws and guidelines for long-term care facilities.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct Dining Services programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve all therapeutic diets per guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and quality across dining areas.
• Educate and train staff on all dining services aspects.
• Coordinate menu planning with dietician and ensure adherence.
• Delegate authority in your absence.
• Provide dining services for in-house functions and ensure quality deliveries.
• Demonstrate safety techniques and ensure staff compliance with privacy policies.
• Maximize employee potential and perform regular evaluations.
