Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. in Mount Airy, NC is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility.

You will drive quality and safety, mentor staff, implement client directives, and ensure compliant operations across all shifts, while maintaining strong resident and customer experiences. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive pay range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year, plus opportunities for advancement and nationwide

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management.
• Two years of quantity food production/service experience.
• CDM certification preferred or required by state law.
• Must obtain FPM within 14 days and FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Residency within service area required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Conduct staff training and in-service sessions; perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff effectively.
• Use protective gear, ensure safe mixing and use of cleaning solutions, and report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
