Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will manage quality, safety, and daily operations while coordinating with client managers and staff.

Responsibilities include training, record-keeping, and strict adherence to infection control and sanitation standards. This role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to cover multiple kitchen and dining positions as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• CDM certification preferred (or as required by state law).
• FPM within first 14 days; FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel and equipment.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; cover roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff.
• Use protective gear and report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly.
• Follow infection control and sanitation procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
