Job summary

Wingate Living is seeking a Food Service Director to oversee the dining program across front and back of house, ensuring a superior dining experience for residents and guests. The role includes managing menus, staffing, inventory, and budget controls with a strong focus on safety and sanitation.

The ideal candidate will hold an approved Dining Manager's course and have 2–4 years in food service with supervisory experience; ServSafe is preferred and flexibility for travel or coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of or attendance in an approved Dining Manager's course.
• Minimum of 2--4 years of experience in food service; supervisory or management experience.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of dietetic principles, food sanitation, and food service operations.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and assist at another facility for coverage or during an emergency; travel will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the food service program, including front and back of house.
• Manage menus, staffing, inventory, budget control, food handling, preparation, storage, safety, and sanitation to ensure superior dining experiences.
