Job summary

The University of Arizona invites applications for a Dining Services Attendant at the Cactus Grill on the Tucson Campus. This is a full-time position within the Arizona Student Unions, supporting food service operations, prep, and serving in a friendly dining environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set up and replenish serving lines and serves customers in food service unit.
• Serves items following portion control.
• Prepares sandwiches, salads and beverages per written recipes.
• Cleans and processes fruits and vegetables and prepares various salads per recipes.
• Weighs, labels, and dates all food items; stores in designated areas.
• Operates and cleans food service equipment.
• Inventories area and completes required forms.
• Cleans countertops, walls, shelves, drain screens and floor mats.
• Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work area.
• Stocks as needed.
• Greets and serves customers in a friendly courteous manner.
• Takes suggestions and passes them onto the supervisor.
• Actively solves problems wherever possible.
• Works harmoniously with coworkers.
• Additional duties as assigned.

We're seeking a passionate Dining Services Attendant to bring their skills to our dynamic team. The Dining Services Attendant performs various duties necessary in the preparation or service of food. This is first in a series of four classifications and is distinguished from the Dining Service Attendant, Senior in that incumbents do not have lead responsibilities. This class typically reports to Dining Service Supervisor or Cook Lead. This position may require working days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities

  cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards.

Physical Requirement:

• Occasionally
  lifts a maximum of 50lbs.
