Job summary

Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans seeks a courteous banquet server to ensure prompt and polite service to members and guests. You will assist servers, carry trays, and help prepare and reset service stations for meals and banquets.

Responsibilities include delivering food quickly, maintaining station cleanliness, and coordinating with kitchen staff to match items to orders. A food handler's permit and alcohol certification are required. Flexible schedule Wednesday through Sunday offered.

Qualifications

• Food handler's permit required.
• Alcoholic beverage certification required.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the kitchen and servers and ensure timely, polite service.
• Set up and clear service stations, tables, and banquet areas.
• Assist servers and batch tasks during dining and banquets.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance.
• Prepare function spaces per Banquet Event Orders.
