Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Dining Server to deliver exceptional service to Residents and guests in a senior living community. This position offers various part-time and per diem schedules with an hourly pay rate of $16.42–$16.90.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving meals, learning residents’ names and dietary needs, keeping the dining room prepared, and assisting with beverages, events, and cleanup. Prior experience in fine dining or senior living is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• 1+ year experience in fine dining hospitality or senior living.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition.
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, etc.
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and documentation of attendance
• Assist with special events
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all regulations and community policies
• Other duties as assigned
