Job summary

Frederick Living is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining team and create a warm, welcoming experience for residents and guests. The role supports meal service, maintains dining room standards, and ensures a safe, clean, and customer-focused environment.

This part-time position runs 3:30pm-7:30pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Starting pay is $13.75 per hour, plus an extra $1.00 on weekends, with benefits including health insurance, 401K, PTO and more.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Create an enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests.
• Follow established service style, sequence, and order of service.
• Complete assigned pre-service and post-service side work.
• Follow safety and sanitation rules and procedures.
• Maintain strong communication with residents and coworkers.
• Report issues to Supervisor or Manager.

At Frederick Living, our Servers play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents and their guests. Server team members support meal service, maintain dining room standards, and ensure a safe, clean, and customer-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

• Create an enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests
• Follow established style, sequence, and order of service in dining rooms and at special events
• Complete assigned pre-service and post-service side work
• Follow all safety and sanitation rules and procedures
• Maintain strong communication and rapport with residents and coworkers
• Follow instructions and work collaboratively with the dining team
• Report any issues or concerns to the Supervisor or Manager
• Adhere to appearance, uniform, and work performance standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and neat work environment
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire safety procedures
• Assist with evacuations in emergency situations as needed
• Protect the confidentiality of resident information
• Cooperate with other departments to support overall operations
• Abide by the organization’s code of conduct
• Perform other duties as assigned
