Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Dining Server to join our team at our Voorhees Township community in New Jersey. This is a full-time, on-site role with an hourly wage of $17.00–$17.37, and a schedule that covers rotating weekend shifts.

You will take dining orders, learn residents’ preferences and dietary needs, set up dining spaces, assist with beverages and service, and help with events while complying with regulations and community policies. Prior dining/hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred/GED accepted
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience working with seniors

Responsibilities

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance
• Assist with special events
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities and Duties

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition

Full time Schedule:

Week 1: Sunday (6am-2pm), Tuesday(7am-3pm), Friday (6am-2pm), Saturday (7am-3pm)

Week 2: Sunday(7am-3pm), Monday (6am-2pm), Thursday (7am-3pm), Saturday (6am-2pm)

Salary Range:

$17.00-$17.37 Hourly

Physical Abilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
