Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Dining Server on-site in Arkansas to deliver friendly, attentive service to residents. You will take orders, learn residents’ names and dietary needs, ensure the dining room is prepared, and assist with beverage prep and service.

This full-time role includes on-site training, growth opportunities, and a benefits package with health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and tuition reimbursement. Prior dining or senior living experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred/GED accepted.
• Minimum of one year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition.
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure dining room is set up and supplies are available.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, and serving areas.
• Ensure safe food handling and assist with beverage prep and service.
• Assist residents with special dining requests and document attendance.
• Support with special events and participate in training as scheduled.
• Comply with all regulations and community policies.

What will you get to do as a Dining Server?

• Responsibilities and Duties
• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed
• Ensure safe food handling
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance
• Assist with special events
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Full time Schedule:

Week 1: Sunday (6am-2pm), Tuesday(7am-3pm), Friday (6am-2pm), Saturday (7am-3pm)

Week 2: Sunday(7am-3pm), Monday (6am-2pm), Thursday (7am-3pm), Saturday (6am-2pm)

Salary Range:

$17.00-$17.37 Hourly

Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple priorities

Physical Abilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
