Job summary

Monarch Communities and Brandywine Senior Living are seeking Dining Servers to provide excellent resident dining experiences. Multiple part-time and per-diem schedules are available, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving meals, maintaining dining room setup, assisting with food and beverage prep, and ensuring safety and documentation. Prior experience is preferred and opportunities for on-the-job training and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition.
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Set up dining room and ensure needed items are available.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and safe food handling.
• Assist with beverage, snack, and condiment preparations.
• Accommodate special dining requests and document attendance.
• Support with special events and in-service trainings.
• Adhere to all regulations and community policies.

Job Description

The Dining Servers provide excellent customer service and create a pleasant dining experience for Residents and guests, through taking meal orders, serving meals, and providing assistance. Various full and part time schedules available.

Schedule: Part-time and Per-Diem available

Salary: $17.00

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed
• Ensure safe food handling
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance
• Assist with special events
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Physical Abilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
