Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a part-time Dining Server to deliver excellent resident-focused service in a senior living setting. You will take orders, serve meals, and help maintain a welcoming dining room with attention to dietary needs.

Responsibilities include setting up dining areas, assisting with beverages and food prep, and supporting residents during meals. Training and adherence to policies are required.

• Must handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Demonstrates good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn residents' names, requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Prepare dining room setup, menus, and condiments for service.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and service areas as directed.
• Assist with beverage and food preparation for service.
• Provide support for special dining requests and events.
• Ensure residents are accounted for during meals and document attendance.
• Participate in trainings and adhere to regulations and community policies.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Dining Servers provide excellent customer service and create a pleasant dining experience for Residents and guests, through taking meal orders, serving meals, and providing assistance. Part time schedules available.

Salary Range: $17.00 Hourly

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance
• Assist with special events
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred/GED accepted
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience working with seniors

Physical Abilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
