Job summary

Monarch Communities® is seeking a Part-time Dining Server to provide excellent service to residents and guests. You will take orders, serve meals, and assist with dining operations in a respectful, friendly environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy in dietary restrictions, attention to detail, and teamwork to maintain a smooth dining room experience. Prior experience in fine dining or senior living is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• Minimum of one year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition.
• Learn and retain residents' names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure dining room is set up and stocked with necessary items (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers).
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, and serving stations.
• Ensure safe food handling and assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, and desserts.
• Assist residents with special dining requests and attendance documentation.
• Support during special events and participate in trainings; comply with regulations and policies.

Job Description

The Dining Servers provide excellent customer service and create a pleasant dining experience for Residents and guests, through taking meal orders, serving meals, and providing assistance. Part time schedules available.

$17.00 Hourly

Responsibilities and Duties

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition
• Learn and retain residents' names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations and other areas as directed
• Ensure safe food handling
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance
• Assist with special events
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
