Job summary

Sagora is seeking a Dining Utility to support the Dining Room Manager and Culinary Director in delivering high-quality hospitality and service in a senior living community. Responsibilities include collecting and washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness, setting up tables, portioning salads and desserts, serving meals with care, and proper waste disposal.

The role requires at least six months in a commercial kitchen (preferred), a food handler permit as required by law, and good English

Qualifications

• Six months or more of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Food handler permit required by state/local authority.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect dishes and kitchen utensils from tables during mealtimes.
• Wash dishes and utensils to highest cleanliness standards.
• Monitor dishwasher temperature daily and report any issues to Culinary Director.
• Set up tables and beverage stations; refill salt, pepper, sugar dispensers.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and courteously; deliver to rooms as needed.
• Dispose of trash properly; deep-clean kitchen monthly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, walk-in, and freezer nightly.
