Job summary

Luxury Senior Living Communities in Coral Gables (near Miami) is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to coordinate dining room, bar, and related operations. You will lead service, train staff, manage schedules, and supervise inventory to ensure smooth daily meals for residents.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in food service, speaks English (Spanish preferred), and can work weekends and holidays with a strong focus on safety, sanitation, and customer care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in food service.
• Ability to speak, read & write English; Spanish preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of restaurant service principles, sanitation and safety.

The #1 Priority of this position is…

To assist the Director of Dining Room Services in planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff and inventory control.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and prepare daily schedule for the waiters and waitresses.


• Manage breakfast, lunch and dinner service.


• Maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.


• Interact courteously and tactfully with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.


• Ability to promote and execute our culture of “Yes”.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent (GED).


• At least two (2) years of experience in food service.


• Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension. Spanish preferred.


• Basic math skills required.


• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office


• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.
