Job summary

The Palace at Coral Gables is seeking a Night Nurse Supervisor to coordinate clinical care, supervise nursing staff, and ensure delivery of high-quality resident care in a luxury senior living community in Coral Gables, Florida.

Ideal candidates will have Florida RN or LPN licensure, at least 1 year of nursing management experience, and strong English communication skills; Spanish is a plus. This on-site role requires flexibility for weekends and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of nursing management experience.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Florida RN or LPN.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Spanish preferred.
• Basic math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign & evaluate nursing interventions on resident outcomes.
• Participate in hiring, directing & assigning nursing staff.
• Counsel & evaluate nursing personnel performance using QA standards.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in developing services objectives and schedules.
• Assess residents’ care needs and plan interventions for optimal functioning.
• Administer prescribed medications & treatments per nursing protocols.
• Maintain accurate resident records.
• Conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective actions as directed.

To coordinate clinical care, provide administrative guidance to staff and supervise nursing personnel.
Deliver nursing care to ensure resident’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice, physician orders, facility policies & procedures and state, federal and local guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign & evaluate the effectiveness of nursing intervention on resident outcome.


• Participate in hiring, directing & assigning nursing staff


• Counsel & evaluate nursing personnel performance using quality assurance standards and established policies & procedure.


• Assist the Director of Nursing in developing nursing services objectives, schedules, performance standards and nursing policies & procedures.


• Assess residents’ care needs, strengths & potential and plan interventions to maximize residents’ abilities to optimal level of function through the use of comprehensive assessment database.


• Administer prescribed medications & treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols.


• Supervise & maintain accurate and informative records for each resident.


• Conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective action under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing management experience preferred.


• Previous experience in long-term care preferred.


• Must be currently licensed as a Florida RN or a LPN.


• Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal & written in English. Spanish preferred.


• Basic math skills required.
