Job summary

Belmont Village La Jolla is seeking a Dining Room Server to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. You will provide hands-on table service, assist with special event meal service, and work with the Dining Room Coordinator and team in our Independent and Assisted Living community.

Shifts vary including evenings and weekends for full-time coverage. Compensation is $19 per hour (NO TIPS) with benefits and opportunities to grow within a supportive,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and prior Restaurant Server experience is preferred.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive dining service to assigned tables in the on-site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Take accurate orders, offer menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature with proper presentation.
• Prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are ready.
• Assist with meal service at special events and celebrations within the community.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Dining Room and tables throughout each meal.
