Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Server in Littleton, CO. We offer 1 full-time (40 hours/week) and 1 part-time (~23 hours/week) positions in Memory Care, with a warm, care-driven culture and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include meal service, accurate order taking, and delivering exceptional resident care, with emphasis on maintaining a gracious environment and strong communication with back-of-house staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in dietary service preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledge of ADA, state regulations, infection control and OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness and sanitary environment.
• Oversee bistro areas: food presentation, cleanliness, stock, beverages.
• Know the daily specials and how they are prepared.
• Learn resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• Attend trainings, orientation and mandatory meetings.

POSITIONOVERVIEW

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times.
• Oversight of bistro areas as directed – food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc.
• Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Must serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• As directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
• Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.
• Demonstration of our Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
• Experience: Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred but not required.
• Job Knowledge: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Standards: Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection and control, health department, and OSHA.
