Job summary

MorningStar of Santa Fe is seeking a part-time Dining Room Server to provide high-quality meals and a gracious environment for our residents. You will communicate clearly, take orders, and relay meal orders to the back of the house while delivering exceptional service.

Schedule is 11:00am - 7:00pm with days discussed at interview. Benefits include health insurance options, 401k with matching, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within MorningStar Senior Living.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary environment.
• Oversee bistro areas as directed and ensure proper food presentation.
• Know the specials and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn resident names and dietary needs; ensure meals are served hot and fresh.

POSITIONOVERVIEW

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times.
• Oversight of bistro areas as directed – food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc.
• Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Must serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• As directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
• Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.
• Demonstration of our Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
• Experience: Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred but not required.
• Job Knowledge: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Standards: Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection and control, health department, and OSHA.
