Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at Naval Station Mayport, FL, seeks a food and beverage attendant to prepare dining spaces, serve meals and beverages, and maintain cleanliness. The role requires knowledge of menu items, proper food handling, and the ability to assist in a fast-paced dining environment.

The position emphasizes customer service, safety, and adherence to federal employment requirements, with opportunities to work in the MWR Food and Beverage division.

Qualifications

• Experience serving beverages and meals in proper manner.
• Knowledge of food handling techniques and sanitation.
• Ability to recognize intoxicated patrons when serving alcohol.
• Ability to calculate checks and process orders.
• Familiarity with the menu for the day and be able to take guest selections.

Responsibilities

• Set dining tables with cloths, silverware, glasses, condiments, napkins, and decorations.
• Prepare back-up tables with supplements (butter, ice, coffee, fruits, juices, salads, breads).
• Record guest selections from guests and turn in the order for kitchen preparation.
• Serve side dishes and beverages (salads, fruit, wine).
• Clear and reset tables after meals for the next guests.
• Perform other related duties as required.
