Job Summary

Community Name: Glenwood Community. Responsible for taking menu orders from residents, guests and employees of the community, serving meals and bussing tables according to established policy and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Utilize proper food handling and food service techniques, ensuring tables are perfectly set, chairs are in place and clean, and floor is swept.
• Take orders from residents, guests, or employees in a timely manner and be knowledgeable of all specials and general descriptions of all food items being served.
• Provide service in a friendly and timely manner.
• Execute sanitation processes: wash tables and chairs, sweep and mop the dining room floor, take trash to the dumpster, wash dishes and silverware according to washing procedures, put clean dishes and silverware away, assist with cleaning of equipment and kitchen, maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas.
• Bus tables and reset for the next meal service according to policy; assist with salad bar or dessert preparation as directed.
• Maintain appropriate, effective communication with residents, residents’ families, and co-workers.
• Participate in relevant educational and training activities as appropriate.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.

Education & Experience

High School Graduate or GED (Preferred).
