Job summary

Founders Inn and Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is seeking friendly Dining Room & In-Room Dining Attendants to join our Food & Beverage team in Virginia Beach. This tipped position offers a base pay of $9.00 per hour plus tips, with both full-time and part-time roles available.

You will provide warm, efficient service in dining rooms and in-room dining, assist servers and culinary staff, and help create memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred but not required.
• Minimum age as required for duties and schedules.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, efficient, and professional service in dining room and in-room dining.
• Welcome guests, clear and reset tables, and maintain clean service areas.
• Enter and process guest orders using the POS system.
• Deliver orders professionally and communicate with culinary and service teams.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.

We are looking for friendly, dependable, and hospitality-focused Dining Room & In-Room Dining Attendants to join our Food & Beverage team. If you enjoy working with people, being part of a team, and creating memorable guest experiences, we would love to meet you.

This is a tipped position with a base rate of $9.00 per hour plus tips. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

What You'll Do

As a Dining Room & In-Room Dining Attendant, you will help provide warm, efficient, and professional service to our guests while supporting the overall operation of the restaurant and in-room dining experience.

Dining Room Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests with a warm, hospitality-focused approach.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently for arriving guests.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and service areas.
• Ensure tables, chairs, floors, silverware, and table settings meet established standards.
• Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work.
• Assist servers and other Food & Beverage team members as needed.
• Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, culinary staff, and leadership.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
• Help create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for every guest.

In-Room Dining Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and process guest orders using the POS system.
• Communicate guest orders accurately to the Culinary team.
• Prepare trays and gather all required food, beverages, silverware, and service items before delivery.
• Deliver orders professionally and according to hotel service standards.
• Retrieve in-room dining trays and service items.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and submit it to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe service areas.
• Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning responsibilities.

• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Work well as part of a team and independently when necessary.
• Have basic reading, writing, computer, and communication skills.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Previous restaurant, hotel, or customer-service experience is preferred, but not required.
• Meet applicable minimum-age requirements for the duties assigned to the position.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
