Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking a Service Support Attendant for Reef 76 Kitchen & Bar. You will assist the bar, dining room, and service teams to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences while upholding Omni standards.

The role requires strong English communication, customer-service skills, and the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends. You will help with setup, service, and post-shift cleanup to maintain high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience in a food and beverage support role preferred.

The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Service Support Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction by providing quick, efficient, and professional support at Reef 76 Kitchen & Bar, a vibrant dining destination that brings Sunshine State flavors together with Caribbean flair and cultural influences. This role supports the bar, dining room, and service teams to ensure smooth Food & Beverage operations while delivering an exceptional guest experience in accordance with Omni standards.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provides guest service support across food and beverage outlets, as assigned based on business needs
• Assists with bar, dining room, and service area setup, opening, closing, and breakdown
• Maintains clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout service periods
• Stocks bar and service stations to established par levels, including glassware, beverages, and supplies
• Maintains clean glassware, service ware, and equipment as needed
• Supports bartenders and servers by responding promptly to operational and service needs
• Greets guests courteously and supports overall guest service flow
• Delivers food to correct tables in accordance with tickets, floor plans, and seat numbers
• Verifies guest satisfaction during food delivery and communicates service needs to servers or management
• Clears, cleans, and sanitizes tables and service areas before, during, and after service
• Maintains awareness of menu offerings, service times, and general floor layouts
• Ensures work areas remain free of hazards, standing water, debris, or obstructions
• Demonstrates the ability to think clearly, remain focused, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Performs assigned duties with minimal supervision while maintaining professionalism
• Duties, responsibilities, and work locations may change or be assigned at any time based on business needs.
• Must be available to work varied schedules, shifts, and locations, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and different outlets as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience as a food runner, dining room attendant, barback, or similar food and beverage support role preferred
• Other relevant hotel or food and beverage experience will be considered
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English with guests, management, and co-workers
• Strong customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized in high-volume and high-pressure environments
• Ability to work cohesively with team members across departments
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to guest and operational needs efficiently
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including entire work shifts
• Requires repetitive motion involving hands, arms, and legs
• Work may be performed in indoor and outdoor environments
