Job description

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Food & Beverage Supervisor, this role maintains efficient and courteous food and beverage operations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include greeting guests, anticipating needs, providing knowledgeable service, and ensuring consistent professional guest interactions with a positive attitude. The position requires teamwork, adherence to Arizona liquor law (Title 4), TOGE alcohol training, and all internal controls.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Knowledge of laws and regulations related to Food & Beverage, ensuring compliance with Tribal, City, State, and Federal health and safety codes.
  2. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment following all relevant health and safety regulations.
  3. Train new team members effectively.
  4. Communicate well with team members to foster a positive work environment.
  5. Maintain proper attendance as per casino policy.
  6. Complete assigned side work, restock work areas, and ensure cleanliness throughout shifts.
  7. Contribute to team efforts to achieve operational goals.
  8. Assist in daily restaurant operations in a cost-effective, efficient manner.
  9. Represent the casino professionally, demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to guests' needs.
  10. Follow standard service techniques consistently.
  11. Adhere to all relevant laws and internal controls, including Title 4 and TOGE policies.
  12. Respond promptly to guest requests.
  13. Maintain an outgoing personality and monitor guests for intoxication, following proper procedures if observed.
  14. Have knowledge of Food & Beverage outlets, discounts, and promotions to inform guests.
  15. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service.
  16. Embody Desert Diamond Casino’s “On Brand” attitude and Spirit of Service Standards.
  17. Remain flexible to assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience with food service point-of-sale and cash handling preferred. Must be 18 or older, with no felony, theft, or stealing convictions. Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, background check, obtain and maintain a gaming license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Certifications
  • Energetic and motivated personality.
  • Knowledge of dining, food maintenance, and guest service.
  • Understanding of Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and enforcement skills.
  • Knowledge of menu items, bar offerings, and pricing.
  • Commitment to internal controls and following procedures.
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's card and TIPS certification.
  • Ability to pass departmental testing and communicate effectively in English.
  • Outstanding guest service skills.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Occasionally sit, climb, balance, taste, or smell. Must lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Work primarily in dining and casino settings with exposure to smoke and noise. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required, with extended hours and irregular shifts possible. Will work across all venues unless specified otherwise.
