Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard is seeking team members for opening and closing duties in our busy hotel restaurant. You will stock, prepare, and clean workstations, deliver dishes to guest tables, assist servers, and maintain spotless dining and kitchen areas.

Complete opening and closing duties, including storing and organizing reusable items, breaking down work areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, washing dishes, restocking supplies, securing storage areas, turning off equipment and lights, locking designated areas, and completing daily cleaning checklists. Set up, stock, and maintain workstations to support efficient food service and kitchen operations. Run food to guests, ensuring orders are accurate, properly presented, and delivered promptly. Assist servers, team members, and guests as needed to provide exceptional customer service and support smooth restaurant operations. Inspect china, glassware, silverware, and serving utensils to ensure cleanliness, quality, and proper presentation before use. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, service, and dining areas throughout each shift by following clean-as-you-go procedures and sanitation standards.

Requirements

Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and security procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, equipment issues, and unsafe working conditions to management in a timely manner. Complete all required safety training programs and maintain compliance with company standards. Utilize fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to safely handle, operate, and manipulate objects and equipment of varying sizes and weights. Navigate stairs, service ramps, and uneven, sloped, or slippery surfaces while maintaining safety and awareness. Perform physical duties requiring reaching overhead and below the knees, as well as bending, twisting, stooping, pulling, and other repetitive movements. Maintain the physical capability to meet the demands of a fast-paced hospitality environment while adhering to established safety procedures.
