Job summary

Asbury Methodist Village, part of Asbury Communities, Inc., is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Assistant to serve meals and support dining room operations for residents in Montgomery County, Maryland.

The position requires 16 hours per week with every other weekend/holiday coverage; compensation is $19.00 per hour, with eligibility for a shift differential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in serving food and/or kitchen/food service preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Taking and delivering food and beverage orders in meal service.
• Assists in dining room/catering set up.
• Engages with residents/customers and learns their preferences.
• Completes entry into all log sheets (meal counts, dishwasher temperature, etc.).
• Records and stocks supplies in service areas.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Hours and Compensation

• Part Time, 16hours weekly
• Every other weekend/holiday required
• $19.00/hour
• This position may be eligible for a shift differential depending upon schedule.

• Responsible for taking and delivering food and beverage orders in meal service

• Exhibits positive customer service by engaging with residents/customers and becoming familiar withtheir preferences
• Completes entry into all log sheets as required i.e. meal counts, dishwasher temperature, etc.
• Records and stocks supplies in service areas as needed
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance

• Serving and/or kitchen/food experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
