Job summary

The University of San Diego (USD) Dining Services seeks an experienced Dining Operations Team Leader for Pavilion Dining. The role oversees front-of-house during events, handles supervision of staff, setup, service, and breakdown, and collaborates with the unit manager on forecasts and menu requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of related experience in a hotel, restaurant, off-premise catering establishment, or retail food operation.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Orients and trains part-time staff. Maintains ongoing training and development.
• Supervises the daily performance of supervised employees and evaluates performance.
• Manages labor costs using timekeeping systems and optimizes staffing to budget.
• Ensures safety, sanitation, and proper handling of food and equipment.
