Ballpark Village is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to assist with buffet setup and guest service during events in downtown St. Louis. The role emphasizes teamwork, safe food handling, and timely communication with the kitchen and event organizers.

Responsibilities include setting up buffets, stocking plates, and breaking down after events. The position offers $15.00 per hour, in-person work, and benefits like employee discounts and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year banquet serving or setup experience.
• Knowledge of catering and food & beverage practices preferred.
• Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take information from Banquet Event Order and set up buffets with Food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance.
• Assist with food and buffet table prep before the event begins. Ascertain that all equipment and dishes/utensils on the buffet table are clean.
• Stock plates and utensils, replenish as needed.
• Communicate with kitchen to ensure timely pick-up of food and then transport food from the kitchen to the banquet space.
• Communicate with Banquet Manager/Supervisor as well as other servers and event organizers.
• Bus event space and keep buffet replenished as needed.
• Break down, clean/sanitize the buffet tables, clean up venue at the end of event and ensure that all equipment is taken back and all catering dishes are returned from the dish room to the store room.

Ballpark Village is the center for St. Louis regional entertainment, hosting more than an estimated 4.5 million visitors annually with 150-plus events per year. We are located in the heart of the central business district and adjacent to Busch Stadium, surrounded by parking and have unprecedented highway access for the region. Our facility contains more than 100,000 sq. ft. of retail and entertainment including flagship anchors like Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum, Cardinals Nation Restaurant, and Anheuser-Busch Brew House.

Banquet Server Responsibilities:

This job requires ability to perform the following:

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Moving about multiple function areas including outdoor spaces.
• Bending, stooping, standing and kneeling..

Job Type: Part-time.
