Job summary

Fooda in Chicago is hiring a Dining Associate to join our growing team. You’ll welcome customers, handle cash, operate a POS, and help maintain a clean, friendly café environment at our office-based Fooda location.

Passion for service, high energy, and strong communication are valued. Previous food service or cashier experience is a plus, and you’ll contribute to delivering Fooda’s standards of service daily.

Qualifications

• Experience with POS systems is a plus.

Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited, and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. Position Description:

Due to expanding growth, Fooda is hiring a Dining Associate in our Chicago market.

Who You Are:

• You are comfortable with customers and enjoy customer service
• You are friendly, high energy and comfortable interacting with other people
• You are comfortable with handling cash and providing accurate change
• You are comfortable with technology and running a POS system
• Prior food service and cashier experience preferred

What You will be Doing:

• Build relationships with customers by maintaining a positive cafe environment
• Go out of your way to provide a high level of customer service
• Maintain cleanliness of the space and clean dishes
• Strong communication skills and being a self-starter are required
• Know and maintain the Fooda Standards of Service and Sanitation on a daily basis
• Escalate issues to Director when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
