Job summary

CAD-Engineering-Resources is seeking a Dimensional Quality Engineer to safeguard precision on metal components in Shelby Township, MI. You will move between the quality lab and shop floor, conducting dimensional checks with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and the CMM to ensure conformance.

You will lead structured root cause analysis, drive CAPAs, develop quality procedures, and train staff. Expect collaboration with production and engineering to improve yield and first-pass quality, with a focus

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on quality engineering in metal parts manufacturing.
Working knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma methods, and lean tools.
Fluency with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Experience with IATF-16949 and related quality frameworks.
CMM operation and programming experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Verify part conformity with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM.
Lead root cause analysis; develop and implement CAPAs.
Create, refine, and roll out quality procedures and work instructions.
Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve issues and elevate yield and first-pass quality.
Audit manufacturing processes to uncover improvements and track quality metrics.
