Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) will assign you to the New Product Development or Production Engineering team to develop robust processes and tooling that support growth in aerospace investment casting. You will work with manufacturing to apply 3D modeling concepts and dimensional controls.

Expected to solve problems using PDCA and Six-Sigma approaches, interpret drawings and layouts, and occasionally lead cross-functional initiatives while traveling to CPP facilities and customer sites as

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or 3-5 years of applicable experience in investment casting, tooling design, and CAD (NX preferred).
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and PC skills.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Knowledge of structured light tools and programming.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and documentation skills.
• Career progression with increasing responsibility; data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain best practice investment casting procedures.
• Apply problem-solving tools to reduce yields and defects.
• Interface with tooling vendors and purchasing to balance quality and cost.
• Interpret customer drawings, GD&T, CAD models and reports.
• Travel periodically to CPP facilities, customers, and vendors.
