Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is seeking a Product Engineer (Dimensional) to join our aerospace casting team in Chittenango. The role focuses on developing robust dimensional control processes and tooling to support growth in industrial and aerospace markets.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, PDCA/Six-Sigma problem solving, and close collaboration with manufacturing and vendors. Occasional travel to CPP facilities and customers is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or 3-5 years of applicable experience.
• Strong communication skills and PC/program management abilities.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of structured light tools and programming.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and documentation skills.
• Career progression with increasing responsibilities.
• Data-driven problem solving approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dimensional control procedures and practices.
• Use problem solving tools and techniques.
• Construct dies, gages, and tooling for cores, wax patterns, and castings.
• Interface with tooling vendors and CPP purchasing for quality tools at competitive prices.
• Ensure dimensional quality control of casting.
• Analyze yields using statistical and DOE methods.
• Interpret GD&T drawings, CAD/NX models, and layout reports.
• Document work procedures and processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet company objectives.
• Travel to CPP facilities, customers, and vendors as needed.
