Job description

Position Overview

Dimension Control Technician – Level 1 or Level 2, A Shift (Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:30am) at Clearfield, UT. The role is part of the Tool Die Making team in the Tooling department, focusing on fabricating jigs, fixtures, tool masters and related tooling with precise tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble standard and nonstandard major jigs and fixtures.
• Use optical instruments to check alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies.
• Develop holding devices and jig/fixture details.
• Prepare operational sequences and shop drawings for production.
• Monitor and verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in tool building and laser tracking (Level1 requires 0 years, Level2 requires 2 years).
• Ability to move and position objects up to 35pounds and work on ladders.
• Experience in a warehouse or shop‑floor environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
• Current active DoD clearance; ability to obtain S.A.P. clearance within 1.5years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master‑level knowledge of laser trackers, articulated arms, and scanners (6DoF).
• Reverse engineering and model building from collected data.
• Knowledge of Integrated Systems Air Frames and Aero Structures.
• Experience with CAD/CAE interfaces such as Verisurf, SA, Maya, Build!IT, and Polyworks.

Salary

• Level1: $44,400 – $74,000
• Level2: $52,700 – $87,900

Citizenship & Clearance
