A leading nonprofit organization is seeking a Digital Strategist to enhance its digital presence and advocacy efforts. The role involves developing content strategies, managing social media, and analyzing digital campaigns to support policy goals. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to social justice and demonstrate expertise in digital communications to mobilize audiences effectively.
Position Summary: MGI is seeking a Digital Strategist to lead our digital presence and help grow public awareness, engagement, and action in support of guaranteed income. You’ll create, implement, and optimize digital strategies across platforms to advance MGI’s policy goals, support our policymakers and pilots, and amplify the stories of those most impacted by economic injustice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Strategy & Execution (~40% of time)
Develop and implement MGI’s digital content and campaign strategy across web, email, and social media.
Build digital campaign plans to support policy advocacy, public education, and media moments.
Partner with Communications Director to translate key messages into compelling digital content.
Content Creation & Management (40% of time)
Create, edit, and publish original digital content (graphics, copy, short-form videos, etc.) aligned with MGI’s voice and mission.
Manage day-to-day publishing on MGI’s digital channels (Twitter/X, BlueSky, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
Respond quickly to real-time events or news cycles with timely and strategic digital messaging.
Data & Analytics (~10% of time)
Track, report, and analyze digital KPIs to assess campaign performance and optimize strategy to drive engagement.
Other duties as assigned by MGI staff & consultants (~10% of time)
Skills & Qualifications:
