Cal Poly Maritime Academy, part of Cal Poly in Vallejo, is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist to lead digital storytelling across websites, social media and newsletters. The role will capture classroom, lab and shipboard experiences and connect them to audiences including students, alumni and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Identify and develop compelling stories that support priorities and engage audiences.
• Strong editorial judgment and content planning to shape narratives.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading using AP style and web best practices.
• Ability to interview, gather information, and translate into audience-centered communications.

Responsabilités

• Lead editorial for Cal Poly Maritime Academy's digital channels.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, cadets, alumni and industry partners to surface story opportunities.
• Align storytelling with the broader university narrative using audience insights.
