Job summary

California State University, Monterey Bay seeks a Jr. Multimedia Specialist to plan, produce, edit, organize, and distribute multimedia content supporting university marketing, communications, recruitment, and storytelling initiatives.

The role focuses on professional video production while capturing photography to support campaigns across websites, social media, and publications. Strong branding alignment and knowledge of multimedia workflows are essential.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• Proven ability to operate professional photography and video production equipment.
• Technical fluency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional editing of photography and video content produced by staff, freelancers, contractors, student employees, and campus partners.
• Edits interviews, documentaries, promotional videos, and other institutional multimedia projects.
• Maintains metadata standards and archiving of multimedia assets using PhotoShelter and other systems.
• Coordinates multimedia production workflows from planning through delivery.
