Qualifications

The Panther Group is seeking a Digital Solutions Engineer to join a higher education organization in Boston, MA. This is a great opportunity for a technically skilled professional who enjoys using automation, AI, and Microsoft technologies to solve business problems and improve productivity. The Digital Solutions Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders and Digital Solutions Consultants to design, build, test, and implement practical technology solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable translating business needs into technical solutions and working across multiple teams in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, test, and implement digital solutions based on business requirements.
• Develop automated workflows and applications using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Implement AI-powered productivity solutions, including Microsoft Copilot, intelligent workflows, and other emerging AI technologies.
• Integrate applications and systems using APIs and other enterprise connectivity tools.
• Configure and support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, Outlook, and other Microsoft 365 applications.
• Collaborate with Digital Solutions Consultants, IT teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and determine appropriate technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing support to end users.
• Create technical documentation and provide training to support successful adoption of new solutions.
• Test solutions thoroughly and ensure they meet quality, accessibility, security, and business requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify new technologies that can enhance the digital experience.
• Assist with ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms as needed.
• Support audio/visual technology solutions, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, when applicable.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in digital solutions, automation, application development, IT, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
• Experience building and implementing solutions that automate business processes.
• Experience working with AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Microsoft Copilot, or AI‑powered automation.
• Experience with API integrations and connecting enterprise systems.
• Experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience documenting technical solutions and processes.
• Strong understanding of information security and best practices.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a higher education or similarly complex organizational environment.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Experience configuring ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Room Systems or other AV technologies.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• ITIL v4 or higher certification.
• Experience working with business analysts, consultants, or cross‑functional project teams.

Additional Requirements

This position may occasionally require availability outside of normal business hours to address urgent business needs, such as critical system issues, software deployments, or security‑related incidents.

Pay up to $59.44 per hour DOE
