Job summary

Corewell Health offers a 14-week full-time hybrid Summer Internship in cybersecurity. Selected candidates will support the security team across monitoring alerts, incident investigations, documentation, dashboards and process improvements.

Open to candidates near three regions: Grand Rapids (West), Southfield (East), and St. Joseph (South). Requires enrollment in a degree program or recent graduation; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review security alerts.

Job Summary

Performs support tasks for department, as directed, and maintains clear and appropriate documentation. Acts as a team member and assists the team in improving processes.

Essential Functions

• Monitoring and reviewing security alerts
• Researching emerging cyber threats, assisting with incident investigations
• Documenting procedures and findings, analyzing trends and reports
• Helping test security processes
• Participating in team meetings and training sessions
• Creating dashboards and metrics
• Supporting automation and process improvement efforts
• Collaborating with teams across the organization on security-related initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in area of accountability.
• May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
