Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Digital Program Manager - Release Management to lead integrated ERP/CRM releases across multiple teams and partners. You will own the release strategy, governance, and execution to ensure high quality, predictable deployments that protect business continuity.

Work involves coordinating product management, engineering, DevOps, data, and security to align with dealer needs, upgrade paths, and operational readiness while communicating progress to executives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex enterprise software releases across multiple products and teams.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, testing, and deployment practices.
• Ability to drive governance and improve release processes with metrics and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own integrated release calendar aligning roadmaps, scope, milestones, and dependencies.
• Establish release governance including standards, planning and decision criteria.
• Coordinate release execution across product, engineering, DevOps, data, and security.
• Align releases with product strategy and dealer customization requirements.
• Drive end-to-end release prep including testing, defect tracking, and backout plans.
• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and risks, escalating when needed.
• Improve code-freeze, feature flags, CI/CD, and deployment practices with Agile teams.
• Govern dealer integrations and maintain product compatibility and integrity.
• Lead release communications and provide leadership with clear status and metrics.
• Lead post-release reviews and apply AI-driven improvements to governance.
