Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Digital Program Manager - Release Management to lead the integrated ERP/CRM release strategy across product, engineering, DevOps, data, and security teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex enterprise software releases across multiple products, integrations, and teams.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Git workflows, CI/CD, and production deployment.
• Experience establishing or improving release governance and delivery practices.
• Ability to manage dependencies, risks, and competing priorities across teams.
• Experience driving release preparation, go/no-go decisions, deployment, and stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the integrated release calendar, aligning roadmaps, scope, milestones, deployment windows, and dependencies.
• Establish and drive release governance, including standards, readiness reviews, decision criteria, change controls, and go/no-go decisions.
• Coordinate release execution across product, engineering, DevOps, data, security, testing, business, vendor, and support teams.
• Partner with Product Management and Product Engineering to align releases with strategy and policy.
• Drive end-to-end release preparation: development, testing, defect remediation, security reviews, deployment, and backout plans.
• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and schedule conflicts; drive mitigation and escalation.
• Improve code-freeze, feature flagging, regression testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices with Agile teams.
• Support governance for dealer customizations and integrations; drive continuous improvement for compatibility and integrity.
• Lead release communications and reporting with stakeholders to ensure visibility of status, risks, decisions, and impact.
• Lead post-release reviews; use metrics, lessons learned, automation, and AI to improve governance and efficiency.
