Job summary

Stuller is seeking a Digital QA Analyst to join the Information Technology team in Lafayette, LA. The role focuses on ensuring functionality, performance, reliability, and security across Stuller.com and supporting systems, while mentoring QA staff.

The candidate will oversee test planning, execute both manual and automated tests, review code, and contribute to test playbooks, dashboards, and cross-team issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA technical experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experts in website, API, and database testing.
• Experience in unit, UAT, black box, end-to-end and load testing.
• Experience with Jira Software.

Responsibilities

• Review new features and designs for functionality, performance and usability.
• Review new code against a security and functionality checklist.
• Manage testing projects and communicate with stakeholders.
• Conduct database testing in a SQL environment, including stored procedures, jobs, and triggers.
• Develop, maintain test cases, data validation, and automated scripts.
• Create and maintain a test playbook library for scalable manual testing.
• Execute and evaluate manual and automated tests and report results.
• Assist in maintaining automated tests and their code.
• Research and document issues encountered by customers and verify fixes.
• Track and communicate issues requiring follow-up.
• Train associates on testing practices and artifact lifecycles.
• Review dashboards and analytics to identify issues and improvements.
• Resolve data issues and facilitate cross-team resolutions.
• Communicate new features and bug fixes to internal teams.
• Research new technologies and tools to improve systems and workflow.

The Digital QA Analyst is responsible for managing all activities necessary to ensure Stuller.com and its supporting systems are working well in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, security, and compatibility with all other systems. A QA Analyst is also responsible for mentoring and training other QA and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Review all new features and designs to ensure functionality, performance, and usability.
• Review all new code checked into production against a checklist to ensure functionality and security.
• Effectively manage testing projects and communicate with all needed stakeholders.
• Conduct database testing in a Microsoft SQL environment, including validating stored procedures, jobs, and triggers.
• Develop, author, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts, including test data, data validation, and automated scripts.
• Create and maintain a test playbook library that enables scalability of manual testing.
• Execute and evaluate manual and automated test cases and report test results.
• Assist in maintaining established automated tests and their code.
• Research, analyze, and document issues encountered by customers and verify fixes.
• Enter, track, and communicate all issues that require follow-up.
• Train other associates on testing best practices and test artifact life cycles.
• Review dashboards and analytics to find potential issues and identify areas of improvement.
• Resolve minor data issues and help facilitate resolutions of cross-team ones.
• Assist in communicating new features and bug fixes to internal teams.
• Research new technologies and tools to improve systems and workflow.

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL.
• Strong ability to create clear, concise, detail-oriented test plans and cases.
• Excellent communication skills to work with QA teams, development teams, and management.
• Strong customer-centric focus.
• Ability to work independently across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• 5+ years of relevant QA technical experience.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Expertise in website, API, and database testing.
• Experience in unit testing, user-acceptance testing, black box testing, end-to-end testing, and load testing.
• Experience working within a development team and using ticketing systems such as Jira Software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Typescript and automated testing frameworks such as Cypress.
• Ability to understand and create test plans from architecture documents and verbal communications.
• Experience researching and implementing new technologies and tools to improve systems and workflow.
