Job summary

Stuller, the jewelry industry's largest manufacturer and technology developer in North America, seeks a Systems Operations Technical Manager. This role oversees infrastructure, networks, and telecommunications, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance systems across the organization.

You will monitor, maintain, and improve enterprise infrastructure, participate in technical initiatives, and support day-to-day operations while adhering to security policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise infrastructure and system administration.
• Knowledge of blade servers, SAN fabrics, iSCSI/ FC.
• Proficient in virtualization (VMware ESX, Horizon, Hyper-V, RHEV).
• Strong background in Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, and backup/recovery concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, AWS).
• Automation and security practices for infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to design infrastructure solutions that meet security and performance needs.
• Monitor and maintain network, server, cloud, and telecom environments for reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, systems, and network issues and coordinate with vendors.
• Plan, test, implement, and document infrastructure upgrades.

• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to outages.

The Systems Operations Technical Manager supports the organization's infrastructure, network, and telecommunications environments. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, securing, and improving enterprise systems while providing technical support for daily operations and strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop infrastructure solutions that support operational needs, security standards, and system performance.
• Monitor and maintain network, server, cloud, and telecommunications environments to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, system, and network issues, escalating to vendors when necessary and driving issues through resolution.
• Plan, test, implement, and document infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and technology improvements.
• Support infrastructure-related projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational objectives.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all information security policies and procedures.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and respond to critical system outages or emergencies when required.

  • Systems technologies and equipment, such as blade servers
  • SAN fabrics, including iSCSI and Fiber Channel (FC)
  • Enterprise storage solutions and management applications
  • Virtualization technologies:

  • Server operating systems:
    • Microsoft Windows Server
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Core infrastructure services:

  • Backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam
  • Cloud-based systems infrastructure:
    • Microsoft 365
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Infrastructure automation and systems security

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry-recognized certifications in network administration and/or systems administration
• Relevant vendor certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, AWS, or HPE certifications preferred.
