Job summary

Liberty Diversified International is seeking a Machine Operator II for its Riverside, California facility. You will operate packaging machines, set up orders to specifications, and perform quality checks to ensure top quality corrugated products for customers.

You will track production metrics, assist in printer operations, and communicate issues promptly to maximize equipment efficiency while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED with 3+ years in manufacturing, or 4+ years in manufacturing in lieu of education.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16”
• Proficient computer skills (typing, printing, data entry)
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
• Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Set up orders according to customer specs and ready the right tools.
• Perform quality checks on the first article and throughout production.
• Enter production metrics into electronic systems to track progress, quality, maintenance and downtime.
• Manage files for processing orders on the digital printer and monitor order accuracy.
• Communicate equipment issues to leaders and troubleshoot with team to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor ink levels and communicate shortages to support production.
• Provide guidance to other Machine Operators as needed.
• Assist in minor repairs to equipment with supervision.
• Keep work area clean and organized following post-order procedures.
• Follow plant safety processes for the machine center.
