Job summary

Resource Label Group, LLC (RLG) is seeking a Digital Press Operator to set up and operate the HP Digital printing press to produce pressure sensitive labels and related products on the 2nd shift. This onsite role includes training and ongoing opportunities to learn a skilled trade in the printing industry.

Responsibilities include data entry into job management software, ensuring color accuracy, basic maintenance, and clear communication with supervision to minimize downtime while meeting

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED with related printing experience or training.
• Two years minimum operating an HP digital press in a printing environment or HP certification.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read measurement tools.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work on second shift as required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality labels to meet job specifications and customer standards.
• Enter time and materials into job management software accurately.
• Load press with correct stock, primers, tint rollers, counts, and color strategies.
• Start press, verify stock alignment, color calibrations, and sizing; inspect for imperfections.
• Adjust color to ensure accurate finished pieces; knowledge of X-Rite/I1 table is a plus.
• Cut and save samples for the library and ticket; assist with finishing operations.
• Communicate changes to supervisor promptly to minimize downtime.
• Report downtime and maintain accurate inventory usage; perform basic maintenance.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; perform other duties as assigned.
