• Ability to read and understand job specifications and know press capabilities to choose appropriate settings.
• Skill to make precise settings and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Knowledge of packing pressure and proper printing pressure for jobs.
• Proficient use of micrometer to mount and align printing plates.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment.
• Make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders and checking image positioning.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press and perform minor repairs.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
