Job summary

RRD in Wisconsin (Cudahy) is seeking an experienced press operator. You will set up, operate, and maintain offset presses, perform make-ready tasks and ensure proper image positioning and ink control.

The role requires thorough knowledge of offset printing, reading job specs, and performing routine maintenance. Shifts include 1st shift 6:00 AM–6:00 PM with rotating 3/4 week schedule and weekend rotation; pay ranges $20–$26 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and determine press settings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment.
• Perform make-ready tasks: hang plates, install cylinders, check plates/cylinders for imperfections.
• Make color corrections and adjust press to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press; perform minor repairs.
• Perform periodic maintenance per manufacturer recommendations.
• Read job specs and determine appropriate press usage and materials.
• Operate controls and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Knowledge of packing pressure and printing pressure for various jobs.
