Job summary

Advantage Technical seeks a Digital Press Field Engineer to serve as the frontline technical expert for our Cincinnati-area customers. You will diagnose and fix complex press issues, ensure equipment reliability, and deliver hands-on support from installation through long-term success using AI and remote diagnostics.

You will lead ramp-up programs, train operators on press operation, color management and workflow, and collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth onboarding

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service experience on digital printing equipment.
• Diploma or degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting across digital press tech and color management.
• Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
• Experience training or mentoring customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and calibrate digital presses at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and process issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, software upgrades, and preventive service.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Maintain service records and reports.
• Train press operators and production staff on operation and workflow.
• Assess operator skill levels and tailor coaching approaches.
• Collaborate with Sales, Applications, and Customer Success teams.
• Mentor customer teams to build long-term capability.
