Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the Digital Imaging team in the Digital Pathology department. The role involves preparing and processing microscopy slides for scanning, and coordinating with pathologists and pathology staff.

You will record specimens in Beaker and other databases, ensure proper approvals for use of diagnostic specimens, and support clinical care, trials, and research efforts.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Associate degree or higher in medical laboratory technology or biological science preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process microscopy slides for scanning.
• Direct materials to pathologists and pathology staff.
• Respond to requests for diagnostic specimens from investigators and external offices.
• Record specimens/projects using Beaker and other databases.
