Job summary

HistoWiz, Inc. is seeking a Digital Pathology Technician to support high-throughput histology operations by producing high-quality Whole Slide Images (WSIs) from glass slides and ensuring traceability of archived materials.

The role involves operating digital pathology scanners, reviewing image quality, managing digital files, and maintaining the DreamPath storage system to support recuts, additional staining, and client requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn lab software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production lab.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate whole-slide scanners to generate high-resolution WSIs at 40x magnification.
• Perform daily scanner startup, calibration, maintenance, and logkeeping.
• Load and prepare slides for scanning ensuring cleanliness and dryness.
• Configure scan parameters to capture complete tissue sections.
• Monitor multiple scanners to maximize productivity and troubleshoot issues.
