Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; an Associate degree or higher is preferred in medical laboratory technology or biological science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for handling inquiries and coordinating with clinical staff.
• Experience or familiarity with laboratory safety, quality control, and record keeping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient specimen processing and media/reagent preparation.
• Verify test requisitions and enter data manually into laboratory systems.
• Respond to telephone inquiries and resolve testing samples with physician orders and specimen collection issues.
• Participate in quality control, inventory management, and continuous improvement activities.
